How to Register to the Live Chat
So why should you register your name on the Live Chat? Well its very simple really, Why do you register your name on a website? the main reason is to stop people impersonating you on that website and you can have your own account, same reason for the Live Chat, we recommend that if you are going to be coming to our site often to register your nick with us so we know who you are and if we can trust you in the chat instead of having impersonators in the chat and may find yourself banned when you try and get back in with your nick because someone came in and impersonated you.
We do ask that you register your nick in the chat to prevent impersonations of you and when you find yourself banned because of this problem we may not let you back in because you did not register your nick. We have made a page on how to register your nick in the chat and it has never been so simple to do.
Step 1: Go to http://bbliveuk.com Home Page or to a Page where the Live Chat is.
Step 2: When you enter the page make sure the chat is on by pressing the power button below the chat, if the power button is red then the chat is turned on, if its not red then press the power button once and the chat will appear, if nothing happens try refreshing the page and if that does not do anything then try clearing your cache then refresh the page.
Step 3: Now that chat has loaded you can now chat!
Step 4: When you first log in to chat your nick will be a BBUSER-[RANDOM-NUMBER] - You can change this very easily.
Step 5: You must change your name in the chat before you register it, To do that Click Menu > Then click Change NickName
Step 6: You will then see your current Chat Name you are using, to change the name simply delete the name you see then type the nickname you would like to change to, (Names may only be as one word) then click Submit.
Step 7: When you click submit you will see you have changed your name and you may see that one of the channel bots has given you voice, this is just a chat setting to give you a voice if the chat goes in to lock down mode (Moderation Mode)
Step 8: You may now register your nickname! To do this Click Menu > Then Click Register NickName *Note: You may only register after 30 seconds of changing your nick*
Step 9: When you click Register NickName you will be loaded with a PopUp
Step 10: Enter your Email Address (This will be used to reset your password for if you loose it or forget it)
Step 11: Enter a Password to use to login to chat.
Step 12: Click Register NickName and you will then get a confirmation of your registered nick name, to close click the cross in the top right hand corner of the register nickname popup
Step 13: Thats it, you have now registered your nickname! you will get a confirmation as the latest text in the chat telling you its registered! (Thats if it was successful)
